ACS-SA 20th Symposium

ACS-SA at UC San Diego is partnering with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry to host our annual Undergraduate Research Symposium! Student researchers have a great opportunity to practice science communication through a poster presentation. Presenters are scored by over 50 judges from UCSD Faculty and industry and awards are given to winning presenters from several divisions. This event will be held May 14, 2026 from 4PM-7PM in Price Center Ballroom East.
Chemistry Career Day

Chemistry Career Day is an annual event to connect student chemists with industrial chemists. Company representatives presented their roles and journey in industry. Students then connected with representatives from companies including Pfizer, Bristol Myers Squibb, Catalent, General Atomics, and Neurocrine Biosciences.
Outreach Events
All Throughout the Year
As part of our goal to give back to the community, ACS-SA at UC San Diego participates in many outreach events throughout the year. This usually involves going to local elementary, middle, and high schools and engaging with the students there to teach them about chemistry. There are many fun demonstrations involved where the students get to actively participate and do chemistry while learning.
